Portable ZBrush3

It may be unique in the 3D sculpting market, but is ZBrush any good? Over an extremely short time, ZBrush has become one of the top professional 3D modelling tools, while simultaneously building up a reputation among non-experts as an approachable and intuitive package. Using a combination of ergonomic brushes and tools, ZBrush enables you to sculpt and texture organic models containing millions of polygons in real-time. You can then output your finished creation for rendering in your favourite 3D package.

As a relatively young program, ZBrush 2 still left a lot of room for improvement. You couldn’t work on more than one object in a scene, or easily re-position your objects. Neither could you pick up and put down objects, or add detail to parts of an object without making things more complex. Thankfully, these problems have been largely solved.

HD sculpting is one of the most instantly attractive new features in ZBrush 3 and enables you to work on models of up to a billion polygons (although not all at once). You can create a HD model and use it to paint in extremely high levels of detail, but the more detailed the model, the smaller the area of it you can work on at any given time. Add to this the new ability to paint using alphas (textured paintbrushes) in a much more interactive way and you’ve got an exceptionally powerful set of modelling tools for fine detail.

The new Transpose tool enables you to select a portion of your model and create a manipulator with which you can re-pose that part of the model. You no longer need to export your model, create bones and pose it – you can do your posing directly in ZBrush. If you’re painting textures, you can now work much more interactively between Photoshop and ZBrush without continually switching between applications. You can also now work with sub-objects one at a time, treating different parts of your model as separate objects by turning them on and off in layers.

Another neat feature is Matcap, which enables you to generate a material based on the angles at which light reflects from an object in a photo. By simply clicking to define the object’s normals, ZBrush enables you to build up a picture of the way light affects the material, although this only really works on single colour materials and not on textures.

On the downside, you might find that other packages have difficulty handling ZBrush’s complex models. But the ability to produce finished artworks within ZBrush 3 itself overcomes this. A host of new features means that the most sophisticated and easiest-to-use modelling tool on the market has just got better – it’s probably the closest thing in the digital world to real-life sculpture.

No algorithms of ordinary image resize/resample can provide this quality just because there's not enough information in one frame.

2. Hundred of filters for video editing
You might be familiar with VirtualDub - a very powerful video editing application. What makes it so powerful is its video filters. There is more than a hundred filters for VirtualDub, you can do absolutely anything with your video with these filters, possibilities are limitless. But VirtualDub reads only AVI files and works only with Video for Windows codecs.
Video Enhancer allows you to use most of the VirtualDub filters (90% now) combining with power to open any video file (AVI, WMV, MPEG, RM, MOV - see documentation for details) and use any video codec either Video for Windows and DirectShow.

Unlike VirtualDub, in Video Enhancer all filters, coders and decoders work simultaneously in separate threads. Simple test with processing DV video with 3 filters and compressing it with XviD showed 1.9 times higher speed than VirtualDub on Dual Core AMD Opteron.

Here is a list of VirtualDub filters that work well with Video Enhancer. Choose any filters from that list, download them, unpack and put *.vdf files to "plugins" directory in the Video Enhancer folder. If you have VirtualDub installed, then Video Enhancer will find installed filters automatically.

In Video Enhancer you can create chains with any number of VirtualDub and Super Resolution filters. It means you can filter your video before resizing, after resizing, between or even instead. ;)

3. Convert your video
After you've decided what to do with your video, you can choose any video codec to compress your output video to reduce the output file size. Video Enhancer lets you use not only VfW codecs (like VirtualDub) but also DirectShow and DMO ones, i.e. any video codecs.

These include its treatment in a variety of national literatures and the works of individual authors (e.g., Oscar Wilde, Emile Zola); its depiction by visual artists; the history and status of prostitution in historical periods and national cultures and notable cities; and even light-pop-culture treatments such as Pretty Woman. Articles of narrower scope treat subjects such as OYOTE, Escort agencies, Free love, Laundresses, Male prostitution, Mustang Ranch, Pimpmobiles, Shoes, Transgender sex workers , Voyeurism , and individuals ranging from Jane Addams to Xaviera Hollander. Hefty appendixes reproduce historical accounts; poems and song lyrics; documents by sex workers; and legal documents related to prostitution, its history, and its regulation. Additional research support is provided by a chronology and an extensive bibliography, which complements the entry-specific further-reading lists. Alphabetical and topical lists of entries facilitate use.

Most articles maintain the cool objectivity that is the hallmark of the scholarly encyclopedia. Some few, however, tip their author's point of view, generally showing sympathy for prostitutes. For example, attorney Juhu Thukral's articles on Decriminalization and Prohibition slightly favor a view of prostitutes as entrepreneurs burdened by government regulation. Thukral is director of the Sex Workers Project in New York City, which focuses on providing legal services and policy advocacy for the industry.

This encyclopedia provides historical context and contemporary analysis of the complex issues related to prostitution, issues easily reduced to shibboleths. HIP (Hide In Picture) is a program that lets you "hide" files inside bitmaps (.bmp files) and/or GIF, protecting them with a password. The pictures look like normal images, so no one will suspect there is hidden data in them. This technique is known as steganography. You can use a normal cryptography program to protect secret data from other people, but then, even if they aren't able to read it, they will be able to see you are hiding something. With HIP, you can hide your secret data inside an innocent family photograph or even your Windows background, and nobody will ever suspect it.

If you know the password with which the file was hidden, you can provide it and only the necessary areas will be overwritten, resulting in a very small quality loss; however, if you provide the wrong password, the file will not be erased properly. If you do not provide a password, HIP will overwrite more of the picture to account for all the possible passwords, causing a larger quality loss.
